Studying Abroad enhances a student's career and academic prospects by giving students a deeper understanding of their subject, as well as the opportunity to share ideas and knowledge with people from all over the world. Whilst abroad, students gain important experience and personal skills which helps prepare them for a successful start to their career or further study at University.
This session will introduce students to the Year Abroad opportunities available at University of Birmingham and will allow students to start thinking about how they can spend the next 12 months preparing.
Whether you are already on a Year Abroad programme, or whether you have not previously thought about this opportunity, this talk with cover the basics of the Year Abroad and will allow students to ask any questions they may have at this stage.
Please note that this session is tailored to 1st year students who would study abroad during the 2026/27 academic year. At this time, the year abroad opportuinty is not open to Postgraduate students or students from CMH.
