n<p>Did you know we have a river flowing right through campus? The Bourn
Brook gives its name to our local area\, but what do we know about its he
 alth?</p>\n\n<p>Come and join us&nbsp\;to hear about &lsquo\;Birmingham R
iver Champions&rsquo\; &ndash\; a citizen science project monitoring the
health of our watercourses across the West Midlands!</p>\n\n<p>In this de
monstration\, you will see how we can monitor the &lsquo\;cocktail&rsquo\
; of pollutants residing within our rivers. You will also learn how to ch
aracterise the ecological health of rivers using the &lsquo\;Urban Riverf
ly&rsquo\; technique\, where you will identify different macroinvertebrat
e species that represent the core of our freshwater ecosystems.</p>\n\n<p
