 t World in the Midlands\, in the past\, present\, and future! The events

 n<h2>Public lecture with Professor Alice Roberts</h2>\n\n<p>Join Professo
 r Alice Roberts for a public lecture exploring the interface between scie
 nces and the humanities\, ad the place of Classics in a civic university 
 today.</p>\n\n<p>Since 2012\, she has served as the Professor of Public E
 ngagement with Science here at Birmingham. Having originally studied and 
 practicing medicine in Cardiff\, Roberts left clinical medicine and earne
 d a PhD in Paleopathology. She&nbsp\;has been honoured with eight honorar
 y doctorates and in 2020 received the Royal Society&#39\;s David Attenbor
 ough Award for Public Engagement.</p>\n\n<p>Since 2001\, Roberts has pres
 ented over a hundred TV documentaries on human biology\, history\, and ar
 chaeology. She has also authored fourteen popular science and history boo
 ks.</p></body></html>
