Langar is an initiative started by Guru Nanak Dev Ji (the founder of Sik hi and the first Sikh guru). Due to their belief in oneness and humanity\ , they offered free meals to everyone\, regardless of caste\, religion\, race\, gender and wealth. The concept of Langar therefore evokes a sense of equality\, generosity\, and kindness. UoB'\;s Sikh Society will be distributing FREE vegetarian and vegan meals to everyone on campus!

Join them to enjoy Langar (community kitchen - a free meal) that embodies equality\, sharing\, and compassion. Langar \;serves as a re minder that everyone\, regardless of background\, is welcome to sit toget her and enjoy food as one community. \;Everyone is more than welcome to come along\, learn more about the Sikh society\, eat some food and tak e lots of pictures. So bring your friends\, family and spread the word!\n\n
