 at the threat of infectious diseases?&#39\;\, and Colin Townsend asks &#3
 9\;Tests of life or a life of tests?&#39\;.</p>\n\n<ul>\n	<li>Marika Tayl
 or\, Head of College of Engineering and Physical&nbsp\;Sciences and Profe
 ssor of Theoretical Physics researches&nbsp\;string theory\, quantum fiel
 d theory and gravitational physics.</li>\n	<li>Alan McNally\,&nbsp\;Profe
 ssor in Microbial Genomics in the School of Medical and Dental Sciences\,
  researched Alan research&rsquo\;s evolutionary genomics of pathogenesis\
 , and antimicrobial resistance in bacterial pathogens led&nbsp\;the gover
 nments first Covid-19 flagship testing facility.</li>\n	<li>Colin Townsen
 d\, Principal of the University of Birmingham School\, is driven by provi
 ding a rounded education for the young people of Birmingham by leading a 
 distinctive and ambitious learning community.</li>\n</ul>\n\n<h3>Session 
 2 (11:15-12:45)</h3>\n\n<p>In this session\, Sir Anthony Seldon asks &#39
 \;Does character matter in leaders?&#39\;\, alumna and Olympic athlete Ha
 nnah England considers &#39\;Are sportswomen treated differently to men?&
 #39\;\, and Professor Robin Mason explore &#39\;Must top universities be 
 open to the world&#39\;s poorest?&#39\;.</p>\n\n<ul>\n	<li>Sir Anthony Se
 ldon is a world renowned educator\, social commentator\, and British hist
 orian. Anthony has led some of the best-known schools and universities in
  Britain\, is a regular newspaper commentator and written the biographies
  of six British prime ministers including Boris Johnson and Tony Blair.</
 li>\n	<li>Hannah England is a British middle-distance running athlete\, a
  1500m World Championship silver medallist\, and London 2012 competitor\,
  as well as being a Birmingham alumna and honorary graduate!</li>\n	<li>R
 obin Mason is&nbsp\;Professor of Economics and Pro-Vice Chancellor (Inter
 national) here at Birmingham\, and focuses his research&nbsp\;on game the
 ory and how firms respond strategically to uncertainty.</li>\n</ul>\n\n<h
 3>Session 3 (14:00-16:00)</h3>\n\n<p>In our final session\, Nazir Afzal O
 BE asks &#39\;What&#39\;s love got to do with it?&#39\;\, whilst Professo
 r Karen Elliot tackles &#39\;Corporate digital responsibility - whose res
 ponsibility is it?&#39\;. Dr James Bendle explores &#39\;Past societies a
 nd climate change&#39\;\, and Professor Lyndsey Stonebridge considers &#3
 9\;What do the old women know?&#39\;.</p>\n\n<ul>\n	<li>Nazir Afzal OBE i
 s a British solicitor and was Chief Crown Prosecutor for Northwest Englan
 d for 4 years. During Nazir&#39\;s 24 year career\, he prosecuted some of
  the most high profile cases in the country and was a national leader on&
 nbsp\;topics including violence against women &amp\; girls\, child sexual
  abuse\, and honour based violence.</li>\n	<li>Karen Elliott is a Chair a
 nd Professor of Practice in Finance and Fintech. As a socio-technologist 
 and entrepreneur\, Karen is committed to ongoing research towards establi
 shing an equitable digital society\, and sustainable and responsible outc
 omes for business\, society\, and the planet.</li>\n	<li>James Bendle is 
 a Reader in Organic Geochemistry specialising&nbsp\;in paleoclimatology. 
 His research develops and uses molecular tools to reconstruct past enviro
 nmental conditions.</li>\n	<li>Lyndsey Stonebridge is the interdisciplina
 ry chair of Humanities and Human Rights here at Birmingham. Lyndsey&rsquo
 \;s work focuses on twentieth-century and contemporary literature\, polit
 ical theory\, and history\, Human Rights\, and Refugee Studies\, drawing 
 on the interdisciplinary connections between literature\, history\, polit
 ics\, law\, and social policy.</li>\n</ul></body></html>
