\nProfessional negotiation (part of professional commun ication) and conflict-resolution competencies are increasingly recognised as essential requirements by organisations such the Solicitors Regulatio n Authority\, the General Medical Council\, the Engineering Council\, the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers\, and the Chartered Management Institute. The workshop is informed by the negotiation and pr ofessional communication&rsquo\;s standards of these organisations and by employers&rsquo\; expectations. \;
\n\nWhat is it about?
\n \nThe workshop will involve practical negotiation simulations and real -life scenarios relating to business\, community and professional dispute s. Students will engage in negotiation\, reframing difficult conversation s\, conflict resolution\, active listening\, and collaborative problem-so lving.
