\nProfessional negotiati on (part of professional communication) and conflict-resolution competenc ies are increasingly recognised as essential requirements by organisation s such the Solicitors Regulation Authority\, the General Medical Council\ , the Engineering Council\, the Chartered Institution of Building Service s Engineers\, and the Chartered Management Institute. The workshop is inf ormed by the negotiation and professional communication&rsquo\;s standard s of these organisations and by employers&rsquo\; expectations.

\n\nThe workshop will involve practical negotiat ion simulations and real-life scenarios relating to business\, community and professional disputes. Students will engage in negotiation\, reframin g difficult conversations\, conflict resolution\, active listening\, and collaborative problem-solving.
