You might hear the phrases 'critical thinking' and 'critical writing' a lot as a postgraduate - but what do they mean? How do you learn to think, write and read critically, and how do you know whether you have demonstrated this important skill in your work? Critical thinking should help you to: interpret evidence, data, and arguments; identify the relevance of this evidence to your assignment question; situate your work with the work of other academics and theorists; and develop well-reasoned arguments of your own.
Join the Academic Skills Centre for for an online workshop on critical thinking, including strategies for success and expert advice, followed by a Q&A where you can ask any questions related to critical thinking and writing.
