Sustainable Healthcare in Vulnerable Regions: Lessons from the Amazon is a 60-minute interactive workshop examining how climate change and air pollution drive health inequalities.
Using real data from extreme events in the Amazon and the UK, participants will explore differences in environmental exposure, calculate their own air-pollution exposure, and discuss what healthcare systems in Birmingham can learn from adaptation strategies in vulnerable regions. The session combines short talks, live polling and discussion, and is open to students and staff interested in climate, health and sustainability.
Whist booking is not needed, capacity for this activity is limited, so arrive early to avoid disappointment.
