Enjoy a free trip on the Worcester and Birmingham canal, the perfect way to take things slow and see our beautiful campus and surrounding area from a different perspective.
There will be three departure and drop-off points along the canal at The Vale, University Railway Station and Whitehouse Wharf in Selly Oak (next to Battery Park accommodation and Selly Oak retail park). You may hop on and off at any of the three departure points. There’s also a bonus trip at the end of the day to Birmingham city centre. Look out for our friendly Welcome Assistants, in gold high vis at each point.
The narrowboat can hold up to 36 passengers, so do arrive early to avoid any disappointment. Scheduled departure times are subject to possible delays so check in with our Welcome Assistant for the latest update.

- *Vale to Gas Street Basin (City Centre): leaves 17:00, arrives approximately 18:00.
