Neurodivergent and Differently Abled: Coffee Morning: 10am - noon; Room LG03, Teaching and Learning Building; This is a safe space to meet and share your experiences with your peers over refreshment and nibbles. Meet current students to learn more about what is it like to be differently abled and/or neurodivergent in the College of Arts & Law.

UG Welcome Address - College of Social Sciences: 10am - 11am; Great Hall, Aston Webb building; Join us for and intro from leading figures in the College, an opportunity to meet staff and students from across the four Schools and, of course, your free College mug - only available at this event! This event is for Undergraduates (BA/BSc).

Join us for an engaging and interactive session where we’ll explore and compare lecture expectations in the UK.

Bread Baking Masterclass with Pastor Obi Iheoma: 11am - 3pm; Welcome Marquee, Green Heart; Do you remember your first experience of eating bread? Join Pastor Obi to make bread and share a freshly baked loaf. No book necessary.

Kayaking on the Palm (postgraduate students only): 12:30pm - 4pm; Departing from UoBD at 15:30; Join us for the PG Kayaking Tour of Dubai! Paddle through stunning waterways and discover the city from a unique perspective with fellow postgraduate students. Leaving campus at 15:30, activity starts at 16:00.

Welcome to Halls: Finale: 2pm - 6pm; The Vale; Celebrate your first week of living away from home by heading to the Welcome to Halls: Finale. Complete with free food, fun activities, a surf simulator and much more, you won't want to miss out.

Sun 29th September

IKEA trip: 7am - 10am; Departing from UoBD at 10:00; Join us for the Student IKEA Trip during Welcome Week! Shop for essentials, bond with fellow students, and make your new space truly yours. The bus will depart from campus at 10:00. It will then depart IKEA at 12:30 for UoBD.

University Music: Sing and Play day: 10:30am - 5:30pm; Bramall Music Building; Join University Music for a day of joyful music-making to kick-start the new academic year. Whether you are new to us or returning after the summer break, we can’t wait to start making music together!

Play and Connect (postgraduate students): noon - 2:30pm; Burj Pod; Relax and unwind at the Games Cafe! Join us on campus for an afternoon of fun games, good food and great company.

Enjoy a delicious evening with fellow postgraduate students and start your academic journey on a high note. Bus will leave at 17:00 for the dinner and return to campus at 21:00.

Everyone is encouraged to sign up! Our auditions are relaxed, friendly and aim to place musicians in the most suitable ensemble for them.
