Are you passionate about student wellbeing and making a positive impact on campus?

We’re inviting current UoBD students in the Foundation programme, Year 1, and Year 2 (across all programmes) to register for Mental Health First Aid

Students who successfully complete the training will become part of the University Wellbeing Support Network, serving as responders among their peers.

As an MHFA trained student you will:

  • Support fellow students and reduce the stigma around mental health
  • Promote and advocate for existing wellbeing services
  • Act as a Wellbeing Ambassador, championing university wellbeing goals
  • Help improve student experience and mental health awareness on campus

Your additional responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with the Student Experience and Wellbeing team
  • Co-delivering mental health awareness workshops and campaigns
  • Taking part in regular wellbeing team meetings
  • Supporting orientation and transition programmes for new and returning students
  • Sharing feedback and helping shape university wellbeing policies
  • Educating peers about mental health and university policies to reduce misinformation

Important Details:

  • Training will be delivered in-person
  • Limited spots available -  first come, first served!
  • You must attend both days of the training to be eligible for certification
  • No last-minute cancellations will be accepted
  • Only for UoBD students
