As part of Black History Month, the Student EDI Team at the University of Birmingham has partnered with Careers Network to bring you an inspiring event spotlighting the journeys of three exceptional Black and Mixed Race leaders from our University community.

Each speaker represents a different stage in their career, offering powerful and relatable stories of growth, resilience, and leadership:
- Richmond Agyenim Boateng – an alumnus who participated in the 10,000 Black Interns initiative, sharing insights into early career development and the impact of targeted opportunities.
- Seun T. – an alumnus actively shaping their professional path, offering lessons on navigating the workplace and building momentum.
- Loreal Stokes – a seasoned professional reflecting on long-term growth, leadership, and giving back to the community.
This event is designed to inspire students, recent graduates, and staff by showcasing real-life examples of success and perseverance. It’s also a space to reflect on identity, representation, and how to bring your full self into professional spaces with confidence and authenticity.
